An Update from Nashville

Brad Jones, producer, has been at the helm. He is some rare kind of responsible and energetic bohemian mastermind sensai… that doesn’t even do it justice.  All in one seamless motion he traps magic, spirit, and soul – you only realize it after it happens.

My friend, Jane Baldwin, ended up coming down for four days to help create a happy, real vibe at the compound here – she succeeded. She has also took hours of documentary footage.

Parker MacDonell, co-writer on about half the songs, flew down and took us to some great spots in Nashville like “Noshville” and “Bongo Java.”  He even hooked us up with a nice home cooked meal with a great songwriter named Trent Summar and his wife (on their 6th anniversary no less, now that’s some skills!) Parker has a way of bringing the best out of me, and I’m so glad he could come down and enjoy the experience.

Music news…

It means a lot to me that you’ve been a supporter of my music career, and as an indie artist every dollar counts— so I wanted to let you know that between July 30th and August 3rd, if you purchase any of my MP3s from CDBaby.com, I’ll get to keep 100% of the sale! There’s a link above to cdbaby.

If you’ve been thinking about it for a while, now is the best time to buy my music because your money will literally go further to help me make my next album.
These days I’m  playing every Thursday and Saturday at Eddie Merlots in Polaris, and Wednesday nights at the Top in Bexley. I am lucky to be able to play my originals and my favorite covers at these and other venues, and I’d love to see you out. Feel free to contact me to make sure I’ll be there the night you’re coming, as sometimes there’s a private engagement, wedding, etc that I’m playing instead.
A couple last thoughts…a fourth all new original album has been conceived and is in the early stages of development. I am excited about the songs. The SXSW Experience & Upcoming Shows

On March 16th, I was fortunate to be a part of the We Are Columbus showcase in Austin, Tx during the unbelievable phenomenon that is SXSW.

It was an invigorating and inspiring experience for me. I feel like my artistic batteries have been recharged.

My band will play two shows in April. The first is April 5th from 10 til 11:30pm at Woodlands Tavern. Then we play Dick’s Den on April 20th from 10pm til 2am.

I’ll be playing new material as well as the best songs from my three cd’s.

I have new T-shirts too!
